Five Years

It's a year for Fives!  The first 5th anniversary that we are celebrating is our wedding date! Nick and I met late February in 2011 and were engaged in less than four months... when you know, you know!

April of 2012 Nick and I got married at the Ice House in downtown Phoenix when it was a part of the downtown Phoenix venues.  We were married by Nick's grandfather, who is a deacon in the Catholic church, and had a small gathering of friends and family of about 40-50 people. Daniel Kim, whom I met in photo school at ASU, took our photos and did an amazing job.  Feel free to browse the rest of our wedding gallery on our feature from Style Me Pretty! http://www.stylemepretty.com/2012/09/12/phoenix-wedding-at-the-icehouse-from-daniel-kim-photography/

Our wedding decor was all handmade.  I created fabric flower bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids and sewed tiny little felt hearts for our flower girl to throw down the aisle instead of flowers. I even handmade those little tissue pom pom balls... And let me tell you, I didn't even know Pinterest existed!  We started Floating Specks on Etsy after we got married in June by selling the same type of wedding decor and hand drawn wedding invitations.  We have since changed the items in our shop, but we are nearing our 5th anniversary for Floating Specks as well!  We will announce our 5th Birthday Pop-up shop soon for this summer!
